Sorry that I have not posted anything lately. Was in a funk about stitching for a few days but I am back. Here is where I was as of 10:30 this morning on Tropical Fantasy. Love how the colors in TF are so pastel-like.

I was naughty today!

Ok now that your mind is out of the gutter ROFL. I told myself that I would only work on one project at a time but... I couldn't help myself and I started on Stoney Creek's Tropical Fantasy today. Haven't worked on enough of it yet to be worth a picture so once I get more done I will do another posting. Off to bed. Blog more later!

Well here is where I am so far on my Blue Posy. Tonight DH goes to bed early since he has to work all day tomorrow so it is just me and the kids for dinner tonight. Thinking I may make shrimp spaghetti. Hoping to be able to get some more stitches into this projecto nce the kids head off to bed. I am also thinking of pulling out my Siamese Cat WIP. Will see what I feel like doing once later rolls around.

Wet Friday

Well today turned out to be a good day to stitch since it has been raining off and on. Been working some more on my blue posy but since I put the camera in the car so that I would have it tomorrow morning then I can't take a pic right now. So glad that I tried the evenweave because now I am really starting to like it. Well pizza is just about ready. YUMMY YUMMY!!!!

Grew some courage today...

and went to AC Moore to buy some 28ct. evenweave which I have already started stitching on. I have never stitched on evenweave before. For some reason it seemed VERY intimidating to me. There were a couple times today that I was ready to just say forget it and move on to something else but I have stuck with it and will continue to stitch after Jordan goes to his great grandma's tonight. Will post a picture once I get a little farther along.

UPDATED @ 6 PM OK here is where I am so far on my Blue Posy. I am quite happy with the way that this is looking so far and am thinking of stitching on evenweave from now on, but will still stitch on aida too. Can't wait to get back and work on this some more so off I go!

Hot off the needle!!!

Here is the picture of the finished Carousel Horse that I literally just put the last stitch into Well I am tired so off to bed I go, but I couldn't go before I shared my happiness with everyone LOL LOL.

Back on Track Now

For the time being anyway LOL LOL. I finally got everything frogged and went to work on the other side of the carousel only to find that I had made yet another mistake. Guess this will teach me to stitch and watch TV at the same time HAHA. Everything is starting to look much better so I am now happy again. Will update a little later tonight once I take an updated picture.

***EDITED 7:15 PM*** OK I think that I have the mistakes all taken care of now. I am going to be working on this after I am done here on the computer once everyone is in bed and I can get some quiet time. I am hoping that listening to Desperate Housewives in the background while stitching will prove to be safer than looking up every few moments and watching. Apparently that is what got me in trouble last time HAHA. Here is an updated picture which like I said I hope is mistake free.

So sad today!

I was sitting here today determined to finish up my carousel horse today and as I was added my way to the top of the canopy I noticed that I added one too many stitches. Normally I don't think that this would have been such a big deal to me but I have to frog the whole multi-colored canopy! I am so upset that I am ready to just say forget it and toss the project and make it another time but no I won't do that. I will frog it a little later after the anger at myself is gone. Ugh thought I was sooo close now I am only that much farther away. Will update with a picture after I get this part re-stitched.

75% Done!

Well I found the camera! It was in my undie drawer HAHA. Yes I change my underwear daily. That is how I found it this morning ROFL. Wen to get clean clothes for after I shower and poof there it was. Anywho... ... here is an updated picture of how the horse is coming. Sorry if I bore you guys with all the pic but DH isn't really into looking to see how it is coming so I enjoy showing all you nice ladies!

Other than some light cleaning here and there I am only planning on going out and buying a few things at the store and maybe taking the kids out to play.

Chugging Along

Spent last night watching Extreme Makeover and stitching. That show ALWAYS brings tears to my eyes. So you ask how did I do when it comes to stitching this weekend??? Well that is a question for another day. I got a good chunk done but ... ... ... I can't seem to find my digital camera so I guess I will have to keep chugging along on it and then I will get a picture of it once I find the camera again. I know I put it somewhere that Jordan couldn't get his sticky fingers on it but now forgot where that was HAHA. Off to make some dinner.

Friday is finally here !!! Wanted to stop in real quick and give everyone an update on my progress with my horse. Hoping to finish this up this weekend! Will be off and on all weekend. Hope to catch some of you online sometime!

First Day of Spring

Well it is the first day of spring but by stepping outside into the cold temps you would never know it LOL LOL. Worked on my cross stitch today and as soon as I am done here I am going to lay Ashley down for her nap and work on my project some more. Here is an updated pic. What do you all thing so far???

Saturday Already?

I can't believe that my week flew by as fast as it has. I got a few comments asking me about how the carousel horse will look once it is done so while I type this I am scanning a picture so you can all see. We are having a birthday party for Ashley today with my family but after that I am planning on coming home and planting my butt on the sofa and stitching on this. Not sure if I will do all the horses or if I will just do one then frame it then later on do another one. So many decisions so little time to make them all. HAHA

Spring is in the Air

Well my little girl turned a year old yesterday. Where has the time gone?!?!? :( I have decided to devote my weekend to working on my horsie for Ashley and Jerry is behind me 100%. Once we get back from taking Ashley to the doctor's for her check-up then we are going to clean the house top to bottom so that I don't have to do too much this weekend. Here is an update on how it is going so far.

Make the Noise Stop!

So I didn't get much work done on Ashley's carousel horse today but that is OK because I got quite a bit done yesterday and last night. Want to see a pic? OK I will show you all how it is coming out. LOL



Today I have had such a huge headache and no amount of Tylenol has seemed to help so I am not sure if I will get to work on this any more today but I will definitely keep you all posted on the progress.

Rain Rain Go Away!

Well as you can see I changed my template and now I need to refigure out how I got all my blinkies on there LOL. Please bear with me while I try and remember how to put everything back.

Boy it sure is pouring out there right now! Took the kids over to my grandmother's house for a visit and then on Saturday we are going back over there to have a small family party for my little girl who will be 1. Where has the time gone? Worked on the carousel some this morning and am really happy with the progress that I am making on it.

Right now I am feeling down and out but can't seem to figure out why. Know when you have that feeling that something is wrong but you can't put your finger on what it is? That is the feeling that I have right now. Off to play with Jordan for a little while since Ashley has just gone down for her nap.

Here is where I am after working on off and on throughout the day...

Have decided to make some seafood chowder for dinner tonight. I am thinking that I will make some and then wait until everyone is in bed though before I eat mine. Then that way I can sit in front of the TV and watch Days of Our Lives that I DVR'd this afternoon. MMMM I can smell the chowder already and the thought of enjoying it snuggled on the sofa all alone is cheering me up already. HEHE

Lazy Day Sunday

Well here is where I was as of last night at 9 PM

Think that maybe I had too much of a lazy day today??? HAHA I did manage to make an awesome roast in the crock pot today and did dishes and laundry so I guess that I don't have any reason to feel guilty. Tomorrow I am planning on doing all of the housework that needs to be done and then once Jerry gets home he can watch the kids and I will hole up in the bedroom with my stitching ROFL.

Carousel Horse

Well I finished my teacup as my last post shows so I sat for a few days and decided to work on a carousel horse for Ashley. The best part of this three part pattern is that THERE IS NO BACKSTITCHING!!!! I LOVE patterns like that. ROFL. Will take a picture of it tomorrow before I start working on it some more. Right now the batteries for the camera are charging.

Update 8:27 PM Everyone is in bed and I am just enjoying some quiet time by myself. I will probably go and work some more on Ashley's horse in a little while but for now I think that I will read some emails and check in with some friends.

Jerry went to the doctor's on Thursday night because of a sore throat that he had had for about 3 days and was told that he didn't have strep but tonight he is saying that his throat is hurting him more now than it was the other night. All I have heard all day is how his throat hurts and then at 6 tonight he says in his sweet little voice "can you please go and get me some ice cream?". So I went out to get him some and that seemed to appease him for the time being. Why is it that when men are sick they cry like little babies??? Hopefully tomorrow he feels better though because if he doesn't then I told him that he will have to go back to the doctor's to find out what the problem is.
