Sweet 16

Here is what I got done on Bride and Groom while watching the Pats go all the way to have a perfect season--16-0. I am loving the way that this is coming out and am hoping to have it done by Jan. 20th for our anniversary.

Final Days of 2007

Not too many days left until the new year. Since finishing Cafe Au Lait towel on the 26th I have began to stitch Bride and Groom silouette that I will add our names and wedding date to. Here is a progress pic so far.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my blogging friends. Here is a pictures of my 2 little turkeys. In the tradition of Thanksgiving I sat in my PJs and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and started stitching on Telling Secrets from Britty Kitty (not enough progress to warrant a pic yet). Hope that everyone had a great holiday and were enjoying great food.

Cold November Day

OK girls sorry that I haven't been on here more but life is hectic and I have been trying to get more crafts, less computer time LOL LOL. As soon as I can find a new cord for my camera to upload pics I will post some progress pictures. I have been working on Britty Kitties Gotchya pattern. I saw on the 123 Stitch message board where a woman had stitched a couple of Britty Kitty patterns on one piece of fabric but for the life of me I can't figure out how I would go about doing that. All of the patterns are different sizes so how would go about figuring out how to make the whole thing with equal sides and that? Does that make any sense? Anyway since it is so chilly here I am going to go and make a cup of tea and sit and stitch and hopefully get the Kitty done.

Creeping Through the Day

Well after being in a rut for a while now when It comes to stitching I have finally picked my needle back up and got a few things stitched. I am thinking that I may stitch them into trivets but not completely sure yet.

Summer Coming To An End

Boy this summer sure has flown by. I haven't really stitched too much. Picked up Birdhouse Row again tonight after not working on it for close to a month. Been spending time outside with the kids and enjoying every minute of it. Time to get back into the swing of things once school starts on Wednesday. I also start my new job (crossing guard) so that will get me out of the house for a ouple of hours each day so that is good. Will post WIPs pics later.

Small Change of Plans

OK you are all going to think that I am a whine, but stitching on 18 count fabric was just too much for my eyes. I asked Jerry what he thought of taking what I had stitched so far and making it in to a trivet. He thought that that would be a good idea so that is what I did. (picture to follow at a later time) I bought a bigger piece of 14 count Aida and hoping that the 3rd try at stitching this will be a charm. Attached is a picture of a puzzle I recently glued and had my Papa mount for me that now proudly hangs over our kitchen table. Off to a job interview. Will let all know how it turns out later.

Tired and Cranky Today

OK so my morning started out at 5 AM when the smoke alarm decided to malfunction and go off. Of course Jerry was at work and I couldn't get the plug out of the back of the detector off fast enough so then the kids were awake too. Worked a little more on Birdhouse Row since then while enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee so I am feeling a little less cranky, but am not 100% happy yet. It looks like it is going to be another rainy cruddy day so we have some hazelnut candles lit and we will just watch movies and have some family time today. Thought I would add a picture that I took of myl ittle monkies this morning too.

So Mad!!!

I am so mad at not only myself but at Walmart. I bought what I thought was 18 count Aida to stitch Bringing Home the Christmas Tree on. After I was done stitching it I thought "hmmm that looks kind of big to be an ornament", but of course thought nothing more of it. I then went and started Birdhouse Row on the same cut of fabric that I stitched the ornament on. I cut the piece to the 18 cout size and away I went. After about an hour of stitching I turned to Jerry and said that the piece of fabric didn't look big enough and would he remeasure it to make sure that I measured right. Well it was measured right but the fabric was 18 count it was 14 count. I went and checked the tube that the fabric was in and sure enough it was marked 18 count. I went back to Walmart to get the right size and this time examined the piece. Sure enough there were 2 more tubes on the shelf that were marked 18 and they were really 14. The girl took them down and said that sometimes the machine spits out the wrong tag for the fabric. Guess that will teach me not to double check my fabric before I set to work on another project. Plus needless to say that I needed to start Birdhouse Row all over again tonight. Will take a picture once I get further along.

Finished Bringing Home the Christmas Tree last night. Not sure if I want to make it into a stocking like it suggests or not. We will see later what I decide to do. Now to get fabbie ready to start stitching Birdhouse Row.

Too hot to stitch!

Well it has been a while since I have posted so I figured that since I was online I would updatey ou all as to what has been going on here. I got a crossing guard job that starts in September and will work out with my schedule greatly. I have not been stitching too much but will probably start up again once we are sitting outside and by the pool. Of to get the swimsuits ready for this afternoon in the pool. Can't wait to see what everyone else has been working on.

Stocking on Hold

Worked on my Britty Kitty stocking most of the day today in hopes that I might be able to finish it, but then I came to the realization that I ran out of DMC 3371. Right now the camera batteries are charging so I will post a picture of where I was before I figured out this problem.

Monday, May 07, 2007

So here is what I have gotten done so far on my Britty Kitty stotcking. Not sure if I am going to want it to be a wall hanging or a stocking, but I still have time to figure that out. Off to work on this some more while Ashley is taking a nap.

Finally Unpacked

Well we moved everything in on Tuesday. Started at 8 AM and finally finished everything up at about 6 PM. Made for a very long and painful day, but that was all forgotten once I got my patterns from Joanne at 123 stitch. I ordered the Britty Kitty stocking pattern, Stoney Creek's Jungle Babies, Stoney Creek's Cats Rule!, and JDWs Rooster and Cat patterns. I am just now waiting on the Just Cross Stitch Anniversary Ornament book that should be here today (fingers crossed) . I was so excited that I HAD to start the Britty Kitty pattern last night. Not enough progress for a picture but I will get one to all of you girls soon. All of the blogs that I have bee reading lately are very inspirational and have kept my spirits high enough to want to stitch everyday even though deep down I am blue. Family can be so cruel in the things that they say, but once I look at the kids and DH I know that all I need is them to make me happy.

Sunday, April 29, 2007

Sorry that I have not posted in so long. We have been busy here with the kids growing like weds, Jordan in school and we have FINALLY found a 3 bedroom apartment that Jerry and I BOTH like. We are moving on the first of May and very stupidly when I started packing little things here and there about 2 weeks ago (can you tell I was excited to move??? LOL) I packed my xstitch stuff so haven't been able to work on anything since. I will DEFINITELY catch you all up once I get to stitching again. I have also had some great S.E.X this week too. I have spent about $60 in once week on stash! DH must really love me huh??? I bought the Just Cross Stitch ornament book and bought a few patterns from Joanne at 123 the other day too. Keep checking in for progress and new apartment pictures!

Long time no blog!

With colds that are going around here, the everyday busy life that we have and me not stitching much I haven't really blogged much. I HAVE been working on a new 4-8-12 afghan and thought that I would share a picture with you girls and see what you think. It is 65 1/2 inches wide so can fit 2 under it!

Here is the towel that I finished up while watching the Pats game with Jerry yesterday. Can anyone spot my mistake. I know that it is there (look at the left and right of the pattern in the left picture). If no one can see it then i guess that it is not as obvious as I think that it is. I was going to give this to my neighbor, but now I am having second thoughts on that. Guess that will teach me to count out for the middle while sick in bed LOL LOL. Oh well that is OK no biggie. I was going through my LK patterns yesterday and I think that the Winter ABCs pattern that I have might fit onto a huck towel that I have. IF so that would tickle me pink as I wanted a LK pattern for my huck towel so this would be awesome. Although you would never know that it was winter with the weather and temperatures that we had this weekend. Having the windows open in the house was great but felt weird on the first Saturday in January.

Welcome to my first 2007 posting!

Well it has already been a busy beginning of the year. I have put Iris aside for a little while to stitch on a few towels. I ran out of a DMC color today though so will have to pick some more up later when I do my groceries at Walmart.
