TGIO

I know that is a horrible thing to say, but 50s in New England for Christmas just did not make for a very Merry Christmas here. As much as I tried not to all I kept thinking was "is it really Christmas because it seems like just another day to me".

Anyways...Christmas Eve we went to my aunt's house so that the kids could open their gifts. Jordan got 3 or 4 transformers, some new clothes, an ambulance lego set, and a few other gifts that I am sure that I am forgetting about. Ashley got a play piggy bank, some new clothes, a air doll (you can put air in it and make it life-like or leave it so that it is soft and squishy), a few wooden puzzles, and again some things that I am sure that I am missing. Jerry got a gym membership to Planet Fitness, some body wash, some razor refills, and new socks and boxers. I got a beautiful gold chain for everyday wear, some body wash, $30 worth of gift cards to AC Moore, a $10 gift certificate to Annie's Book Stop, and a big tub of puff peppermints. Jerry and I both ended up getting a new DVD player from my parents too.

On the stitching front...I have not gotten much stitched at all. I am hoping to get some stitching in a little later or at least tonight after the kids go to bed.

Can't wait to read about what everyone else got for Christmas.

Go Away Germs!!!

I am so sick of being sick!! I have been disinfecting and all that crap and still can't get rid of this head cold. It just keeps coming back and harder each time. I have been working a little off and on on Iris but am charging batteries for camera right now so I will take a picture later.

TGIF

Since I worked so hard at cleaning up the house today I felt that I had the right to sit and stitch and do nothing but sitch. I made some progress that I am happy with.

Does it ever get better?

OK now that I have some more time I will blog some more. The past few nights Ashley has been waking up screaming. Thought that maybe she kept getting scared becasue Jordan has a tendency to talk in his sleep (they share a bedroom for now), but after the third night I started getting aggrevated since I was getting NO SLEEP that night (at this point she is sleeping 5 minutes here and there). Last night I finally decided that to just give her some Motrin and hope that it knocked her out for at least a few hours. She slept the rest of the night She went back down at 3 and she slept until 7 when I had to get her up to take Jordan to school. Anyway called the doctor's this morning to have her checked becasue began to think that she might have another ear infection. Sure enough she has not one but to ear infections (I know MEAN MOMMY). Since this is her third one in a matter of about a month and a half then they want to check her in 2 weeks and if the infection hasn't cleared up then she will have to go and see an ENT. Well pizza is here so I am off to have some dinner.

Here is what I got stitched while watching House and catching up on my shows on my DVR...

Hoping that after I get Jordan from school that I can sit and work on this some more. Off to get him and will update you guys some more later.

WIP Progress

Had some free time today since I did most of the housework this morning so I decided to have a day for me and other than taking care of Ashley all I did was stitch, stitch and stitched some more. Here is where I was when I put the needle down tonight.

Patriots Disappointment Today

What the heck happened to the Pats today?? I am not that into football, but from all the grumbling that DH and his buddy were doing I figured that the Pats stunk big time. Anyway while they grumbled I stitched. Hopefully tomorrow I can put some more stitches into this while Ashley is napping. No errands are planned other than going out to buy some more DMC 415 after I drop Jordan off at school. Then I can work some more on this piece which I am enjoying stitching as much as I di the first time I stitched it.

If anyone can help please email me at meye2cuties@gmail.com. Thanks bunches. Off to watch Christmas shows with the kids and stitch a little.

A Finish and a start

I finished this for Jordan a few days ago and then started on Iris on the Veranda which is coming along nicley. (I know I don't have much done so how can I say that right??? LOL LOL)

Doing a Happy Dance Today!

I finally got around to finishing up Pansies for Friendship. As if that didn't make me happy enough I just got back from the mailbox and inside was a $50 gift certificate to a framing place where I got a piece of my stitching framed once (the Iris on the Veranda piece). Now what to frame first LOL LOL. Here is what Pansies looks like all finished. Didn't stitch the border on this one. Thought it looked OK without the border.

Now as requested by a certain 6 year old boy I will be stitching the Red Sox Logo next. Think I amy stitch it on a piece of 11 count Aida that I have so then it won't be so small. Jordan keeps saying he wants a Patriots logo and a Red Sox logo for his wall. Have the Red Sox logo. Now to just find a Patriots one.

Achey, Sick Tuesday

Yesterday Ashley woke up and had one of those loud bark-like coughs. I decided that a visit to the doctor was in order. Come to find out she has a double ear infection and a cold. She was not in a good mood at all yesterday. Most kids like to sleep when they are sick...nope not my little monster princess. She likes to scram and throw a tantrum (no it was not due to the fact that she had an ear infection since she was doped up on meds so the doctor assured me that that was not the problem. Between a fever and the runs I am sure that she was as miserable as she was acting. Now that I got her down for a nap today this tired, achey Momma is going to curl up on the sofa and stitch her little heart out until Ashley wakes up or until it is time to get Jordan from school (whichever comes first LOL). Will try and come back for another update on my Pansies later.

Pansies Update

Thought that before I shut the computer off for the night then I would post an update on what Pansies are looking like so far. Not much more to go now.

Great S.E.X day yesterday!

I went to my LNS yesterday and got away with some great stuff. I got ...
Mini BLock Christmas Horizontal ABC - Hinzeit
John James needles size 26
Mini Block ABC Welcome - Hinzeit
Signs of Summer - Erica Michaels
The Lord's Blessing - Imaginating, Inc.
Sweet Liberty - SamSarah Design Studio

All this is regularly priced at a totla of $56.25, but I got this all for $28.12.

Anyways, today is another game for the Patriots and DH, our son and I are all going to be routing for the Pats!!! Jordan got a Corey Dillion jersey for his birthday from my sister and he is in LOVE with it. Off to join the company here that are all getting ready for the game.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!!

I know that this is early, but in case I am not on tomorrow I wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow US bloggers. I will be spending the day cooking and when I am not cooking I will be stitching. Here is how far along I am on Pansies so far. I am hoping to finish this up this weekend, but only time will tell if that happens.

Football Sunday

While DH has been watching the Patriots game this is what I have been doing. I love how colorful this is. I am thinking that once I am done with this that I will put it in my bedroom.

Got my van back Friday night so now I don't have to worry about walking Jordan to school with Ashley on Monday morning since I think that it is going to be a cold day. It was indeed the starter like we originally thought that it was. Ended up costing us about $125 so I can't complain too much. Now just waiting for January and taxes to roll around so that I can get a brand new car. Kind of getting sick of the whole van thing LOL. I am looking into getting either a Ford Focus or a Toyota Corolla. Not sure which one we are going to go with yet, but we keep looking online to watch for some good holiday deals.

Off to stitch some more while watching the Patriots kick the Packers butts! GO PATRIOTS!!!!!

If anyone knows of where I can find a nice Patriots pattern please email me at meye2cuties at gmail dot com.

My Car is in the Garage!

Well we thought that we could go another week or so before having the starter replaced since it was starting up each time I needed to drive it. Boy were we wrong. Getting stuck at the mall during the evening commute is not a fun thing to do. We went to the mall only to find that that car didn't want to come home iwth us last night. AAA came and now my van is at my dad's friend's house being fixed. So I have started a new cross stitch project.

Pansies for Friendship....sorry this is not the greatest picture of what it will look like once it is done. I will sent up the scanner a little later and then will get a better picture.

How Do YOU talk?

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

**Warning Lots of Babbling Included**

These 2 cute kids are MINE MINE MINE LOL LOL. This is Jordan (5 years old --will be 6 the day after Thanksgiving) and Ashley (19 months). They were posing so cute on this day that I just HAD to take a picture.

Not sure how many of you remember seeing this picture of my first and so far only framed piece of stitching, but I thought I would post it again so you would all know what I was talking about when I say this...I was so kicking myself when I gave my mom the Iris on the Veranda piece that I stitched for her while I was preggers with Ashley and then decided to stitch it for myself only to realize that I had traded the book that this was in with someone about a year or 2 ago. Anyway I went on e-bay and found 1 person that was selling Country Bouquets from American School of Needlework (where the Iris pattern came from--did I mention that this was an OOP book????) so I swooped in and bought it right away and only paid $3.99 for the book!!! I had a piece of evenweave that I immediately brought over to my mom's for her to zig zag the edges for me (I so cannot sew and she has a machine), but I promised myself that I am going to be good and not stitch Iris on the Veranda until after I am done with Carousel Horse. Which leads me to my next topic of discussion. ROTATION STITCHING!!!!

How many of you have a rotation for stitching pieces and do you find it useful? Do you find yourself finishing more pieces when you stitch them on rotation rather than spending months (sometimes years LOL) on the same piece at one time? I want to stitch a few pieces that I have in my stash which I would like to stitch but don't know which one to do first so I thought maybe a rotation of them would be neat. Iris on the Veranda, Home is Where the Cat Is (already started and put it aside but never was able to pick it back up once Jordan decided that he wanted to "sew like Mom" by cutting my fabric into pieces so I want to start on it again and keep it safe this time LOL) and St. Sylvestre are ones that I want to stitch but I have a tinge of ADD so working on a BIG project makes me get bored easily hence again why rotation stitching might be the way to go for me.

Which now that I have babbled it has lead me to another question...how do you store your WIPs while you are stitching on something else. Do you have Q-Snaps for each project or do you have one set that you just move from project to project each day? I am not a new stitcher but have never been brave enough until a few months ago to stitch on anything else other than Aida. Now I am trying to venture out and try new things.

Now on to something different. Went to my LNS that will be closing soon and picked up Seasons of Plenty from Little House Needleworks and Signs of Spring from Erica Michaels. I think I might talk DH into letting me go back and pick up some specialty threads since I have never used anything other than DMC and would like to try something different in that category too.

Off to get ready to watch Grey's Anatomy and ER while diligently working on Pastel the Carousel Horse.

Quiet Stitching Sunday

Was not very happy when I woke up this morning, walked over to the kitchen sink to pour some water for some tea nd found that we had no water! Of course the maintenace men for the landlord here are a bunch or morons and don't know how to find the pipes sooooo. Here I sit at 11 am (found we had no water at 8 am this morning) and STILL HAVE NO WATER just ran over to Stop n Shop and bought 2 gallons of water so that will hopefully be all that I need to buy.

Since we are suppose to keep Jordan in the house while treating him for chicken pox then I can't go over to my parents house to take a shower and clean up. Guess I will just sit here today and work some more on Pastel (that is the name that Jordan and I came up with for this horse even though there aren't too many pastel colors in this piece). Ran out of DMC 3821 so maybe later I can sneek out alone and go to Shaw's to get some groceries and to Walmart to pick up another skein of 3821. Off to check the faucets again.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (for real this time!)

Haven't gotten to work on CH today but I am definitely going to try anf get some done on it before I hit the hay tonight. Found out this morning that my LNS is going out of business so now I am really going to have to be nice to DH to get some money so I can shop shop shop LOL LOL. Off to check out a few patterns that I have so that I can stock up on floss and stuff like that!

Monday, October 30, 2006

First off I would like to apologize for being so out of it yesterday. I am not sure why I made the title yesterday say Happy Halloween. I guess all the trick-or-treating got to my head LOL LOL.

Anyway today in between doing my household "chores" I worked on my Carousel Horse. I LOVE these horses and the colors that they are stitched up with. Have been trying to post a picture, but blogger is preventing me from doing so.

Sunday, October 29, 2006

Happy Halloween

Today turned out to be a really crummy day for trick-or-treating here in Manchester. It was soooo windy I thought that the kids might blow away. Took the kids to the mall instead so that they wouldn't be so cold. Worked on Carousel Horse for a little while today (haven't been able to pick it up for a little while now). Here is where I have gotten so far.

Going to go and stitch for a little while more while watching House and Desperate Housewives then to bed I go. Back to the daily grind tomorrow!

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Finally went to my mom's so that I could get a picture of this (forget to take a picture once I got it back from the framer).

Carousel Horse #2

Here is where I am on Carousel Horse so far. Jordan is off at school and Ashley is taking a nap since she got up at 5 this morning. Think it is a good time to go and sit my butt on the sofa and stitch??? More updates to come later!

Dreary Tuesday

I got tagged by Jenn to do the seven song list.

The rules; List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether or not they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

Had a Bad Day by Daniel Powter
Street Corner Symphony by Rob Thomas
Chain Hang Low by Yung Joc
Moneymaker by Ludacris and Pharell
American Pie by Don McLean
Son of a Preacher Man by Aretha Franklin
Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake

I tag the following
Carol
Sue
Dawn
Joyce
Meari
Barb
Renee

I worked on my Carousel Horse some more last night but didn't make enough progress to warrent a picture. Will tryand post on once I have worked on it today. Have the pumpkin spice candles going already since it is such a dreary day.

Another Post Gone

I tried to post earlier this morning but my post has seemed to have disappeared into outer space. Took out another Carousel Horse pattern to go along with the first one that I have already stitched for Ashley. I am stitching the first horse pictured in this scan. These are so quick and the greatest thing about them is NO BACKSTITCHING! LOL LOL

Wednesday, October 18, 2006

Another quickie finished

Here is Lizzie Kate's October Flip It that I stitched up in about 24 hours.

Yesterday we lost one of our officers in blue due to a tragic shooting that was VERY uneccessary. RIP Officer Briggs. My thoughts and prayers are with your wife and small children.

Monday, October 16, 2006

Lots of prayers needed today

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this poor officer who was shot in the line of duty early this morning http://www.unionleader.com/. Here is a picture of a freebie from Waxing Moon that I stitched yesterday while watching that Food Network's Guiness Book of Records Marathon.

Saturday, October 14, 2006

I have an ouchie

Got up this morning and my thumb was bothering me so unless it gets better soon I don't think that I will be stitching tonight :(. Jenn was asking about what Momma is going to look like so here is the link to a picture. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-bin/itemdetail.pl?item=02-2172

Went to visit Grammy this morning and she is doing so much better. She hardly had any visitors so she got to rest today nad I think that that helped alot.

Friday, October 13, 2006

Get Well Soon Grammy!

Due to some serious health problems my grandmother has been hospitalized so right now if I seem to babble then please bear with me. I have not worked on Momma and Luke as much as I would have liked to due to worrying over my Grammy too much but here is how I am fairing on it so far.

On a brighter note here is a picture of my 19 month old daughter Ashley feeding her baby "num num" LOL.

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

My head is so congested today that I wasn't sure that I was even going to be able to concentrate on stitching but I got a little done and thought I would post my progress.

Monday, October 09, 2006

Sluggish Monday

Well after being very disappointed by the reaction that I got with the Elvis profile that I have stitched so far I have decided top put it aside, finish Momma McBruin, and then I will eventually finish Elvis Elvis for Jerry and I. Here is how far I got before working on Momma last night...

I received a handful of patterns from a very good friend and am trying to decide which one of the patterns I want to stitch next. Going to go and drool some more over all these great patterns. Will take a picture later. Oh yeah forget to say too the I got my Iris on the Veranda piece that I had framed for my mom back from the framers today but I was so excited about getting it to her that I forgot to take a picture. Will have to take one the next time that I go over there.

Friday, October 06, 2006

Is it just me or...

is blogger doing a crappy job of keeping us up to date on which blogs are new and which ones aren't? Some of my blogs come up with new while others that are new don't have anything next to them.

Put Momma McBruin aside until Monday as I got a great outline of Elvis' face which is a very quick stitch so I am going to stitch it for my MILs boyfriend and then be able to give it to him on Sunday when they come over to watch the Patriots game and have dinner with us.

Off to work on Elvis some more while Ashley is napping.

Sunday, October 01, 2006

Bear Paw

Here is where I am so far on Momma McBruin and Luke. Going to take it with me and work on it at my MILs where we are going to go to watch the Patriots game and have some dinner.

Such a dark and dreary day that I figured today would be a good day to sit and stitch and do not much of anything else LOL.

Taking a break

Since the pics of my monkies didn't post last time I figured I would add them this time. Jordan is 5 and Ashley is 18 months (ignore the date printed on Ashley's picture LOL).

Whipped stitched the edges of my evenweave, got the flosses all pulled that I will need and am ready to start my Boyd's Bears project. I will be stitching Momma McBruin and Luke...Baby Love. Once I get further along then I will post a picture. Off to get lunches made for Jerry and Jordan for tomorrow.

Tuesday, September 26, 2006

Well after frogging and restitching these darn numbers at least once I "think" I am back on track and right where I need to be. I have to go and sew the edges of my evenweave so that I can start working on another project to take a small break from the ornament but I am too tired and lazy right now to sit and whip stitch the edges LOL LOL.

If I did this right (I am posting this from my email) then you should be able to see my little cuties ... Jordan and Ashley.

Monday, September 25, 2006

Next time I decide to stitch an ornament on 28 count (or any other count) over 1 would someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop me. This ornament is giving me more of a headache than I think I have ever had. LOL. I am determined though to get it done so that I can start on my next project. I try to only work on one project because as some may have seen through this blog, I go one to another one and never go back to the previous one.

Ashley had been sick with just a fever and a really stuffy nose. She is only one so unlike you and I she can't blow her nose. Since it has been 4 days of her having a fever I am thinking that tomorrow I will call her pediatrician and make and make an appointment. If I can get her into bed at a decent time tonight (she has been going to bed late each night as she sleeps most of the day and then doesn't want to sleep at bedtime each night) then I will sit on the sofa, watch Desperate Housewives and stitch on my ornament.

Off to snuggle with my little princess and try and get her to bed soon.

Saturday, September 23, 2006

Soggy Saturday

Well I have come to the conclusion that I can't be stitching and listening to TV or anything else. It has to be absolutely silent when I am stitching on my ornament. I have made too many mistakes and I can't take any more! I am about to say that heck with it and put this aside, but oh how good it will feel when I finish it and it is displayed on the Christmas tree this year.

Updated Ornament

Here is an update on my 2006 ornament. I went to Michaels' yesterday and used my 50% off coupon to get a pair of clip on magnifiers so that I don't have to hold a magnifying glass. I used them last night and had a much better experience stitching on 28 over 1. Now to just get this finished LOL LOL.

Update 5:30 I just noticed when I went to look over my blog that the 0 on the right is up too high :(. I guess I will be frogging that out later.

Monday, September 18, 2006

WIP Picture

Here is what my ornament looks like so far. I had to frog out the bottom loop of the 2 on the right since I was off by one row. I didn't notice it until I did the bottom loop on the left side 2. :( This ornament is stitching up slow but that I OK. I will work on it some more after everyone is in bed tonight. Off to get Jordan fro school.

What have I gotten myself into???

Here is Patches all finished!!! I finshed him yesterday afternoon. Decided not to do the platform that he is on. I think he looks better without it. Since I am in the Christmas spirit (I know I should be slapped upside the head) I decided to start on M Designs 2006 tree as an ornament. I have started to stitch it on 28 count evenweave in DMC 909. OMG the stitches are sooo small. My poor eyes!!! Can you tell I have never done this before ??? LOL

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

Headless Nutcracker

Tried to post a picture but my camera is acting up again so you will just have to imagine Patches done except for his head. (See posting below for what finished Patches will look like) My goal is to finished with him by Friday and then stitch M Designs 2006 tree. I am going to be daring and stitch it on 28 count evenweave over 1. I am also going to attempt to stitch another M Designs project to make into an ornament but am just not sure of which one I want to make yet.

Got up early this morning and got a big pot of chili ready in the crockpot so it is really smelling good in here. Can't wait for dinner!!! Today Jordan didn't have any school so I got a break from having to run around and get him ready this morning but tomorrow is back to the daily grind. I got LOTS done around the house yesterday while he was gone and the time didn't fly by as fast as I thought that it would.

Monday, September 11, 2006

This morning was Jordan's first day of kindergarten and he came home so excited. He had tons of fun and is running around the house singing "The Wheels on the Bus". It was hard sending him off and then realized that I wouldn't have him around all day. Patches got some work done on him today but not too much. Need to go and get the kids an after school snack so I am off, but I will be back after to update you on Patches.

Friday, September 08, 2006

Busy Week

Well since I spent ALL day on Wednesday cleaning the house since Jerry's aunt was coming up for the might I decided that last night I was going to sit and work on Patches. I have also designated that I will leave him out on the computer desk and then that way I am more likely going to stitch on him WHILE watching TV rather than just sitting and JUST WATCHING the TV. I watch too much of that dang boob tube as it is ROFL.

On a different noteThis morning was kind of a sad one for me as I went and filled out the paperwork to sign my baby boy up for school. He starts on the 11th and will be gone from 8:20 to 2:30. Whatever will I do all day while he is gone?? HAHA I guess I will just have to find something to fulfill my free time while Ashley is napping since now I will be alone with no one to bother me. Off to stitch some more on Patches.

Making Slow Progress

Well Patches is starting to look like a scarecrow. Jenn asked in my blog the other day to post a picture of what Patches looks like so here is that and a progress picture.

Tomorrow DH's aunt is suppose tpo be coming in from FL so I will take Patches with me to the airport to wait for her. I am thinking of doing a sampler soon and I am trying to figure out which one to do first. Please post your suggestions here. Thanks bunches!

October is fast approaching so...

I thought that my next project should be something fall-like. I am stitching Scarecrow Nutcracker from the October 2005 issue of The Cross Stitcher.

There are a few others that I want to get stitched eventually too (leprechaun, bunny, santa, pilgrim, and valentine nutcrackers). They are all so cute! Looks like today we are getting the rain from Ernesto. Have the candles lit and once DH gets up I will fold the laundry I washed and then the day is mine to stitch!!! Such a great day for it too. Curl up on my sofa and work on Patches (that is what I have named this nutcracker). Off to get a few things cleaned up so I can get some me time later.

BANG BANG BANG

That is all I have heard today since the roofers are here today. Thye were suppose to come and start on Friday but it rained and then it rained again on Monday so they are starting today. Got my evenweave back from my mom today and I have FINALLY decided what I want to stitch next...going to stitch the nutcracker series from The Cross Stitcher magazines. Off to try and find some Tylenol to get rid of this headache!

Awesome S.E.X today!!!

This morning I was reading the 123 message board and saw something about Hancock Fabrics . I opened the conversation and went on to see that they were having a sale on DMC floss so I decided to see if there was one near me. The closest store was in Fitchburg, MA (an hour drive from where I am). I talked DH into taking me. I perused the store for about 30 minutes and this is what I came home with 55 skeins of DMC (the best part is that they were one sale for 20/$1.00 and no the is not a typo I typed 20), a 20" x 30" piece of 14 count Aida, and 2 packages of needles which I paid .74 each. I stopped by Colonial Needleworks on my way home but Sue was already closed for the day :(. Off to make some dinner for the family and then fondle my newest buys some more.

Jumping for Joy!!!!

Hot Off The Q-Snaps (well not off the q-snaps quite yet HAHA). I just finished this this minute and couldn't wait to post a picture of my finish. I am not quite sure if I like the left side of the Y (where it goes from real dark to real light). Might frog that and make it blend better but I will ponder it for a little while and see what I think after. Now to figure out what to stitch next. Since I like stitching on the evenweave so much I decided to go to AC Moore and but some more but they only had 1 tube left so I may have to take a trip to Micheal's or Colonial Needleworks (I am an determined to get back there soon). Will post soon to let you all know what I decide to stitch.

UPDATED 10:43 PM Since I finished Joy tree and I can't get my mini sewing machine to work to zig zag the edge of my new evenweave piece I am working on another small towel with hearts on it. Not sure what I want to put above and below these hearts but I guess I will think about that as I finish up with this row of hearts. Will take the evenweave to my mom's and see if she can use her zig zag setting on her machine so I can get started on a new evenweave piece. Am thinking that I may start on a few pieces (2 or 3 at a time) and work on a rotation so then I don't get bored working on just one thing. I do have some Aida that will eventually have to be stitched on anyway too LOL.

Joy coming together

Been working off and on on Joy tree today and this is what I have accomplished so far today. Thanks to all you girls that have given me such positive feedback on this when I first posted a picture. It is good to know that there are others out there that will give me a push if I need it.

Progressing

I am so happy that I decided to give stitching on evenweave a try. I LOVE the way that Joy Tree is starting to look. I am also glad that I decided to do it in a variegated floss as it gives it that extra character.
I am a little further along than what this picture shows but my camrea batteries are charging so I figured I would at least post this one. Now I am trying to decide which of my to do patterns I want to do on evenweave next.

Baby Steps

OK well since I was up at 3 am and there was nothing on the tube I decided to work on my small hearts towel...AND GOT IT DONE!!! (If blogger let me you should be able to see a picture of it here). OK now with the being said I have decided to stitch one of M Designs trees (not sure which one yet) on 28 count Monaco. Since I am used to stitching on Aida only then this will be a different experience for me. I am thinking that I will stitch it with one of DMC's variegated flosses. After I get this one done I may splurge and buy some WDW floss and do a different tree with that. Baby steps here. HAHA Off to bake a cake since today is DH's birthday!

Long Day today

On the bright side though I finished Flip Flops Rock last night (will post a picture once Blogger allows me to post one) and started a small hearts towel that is stitching up really quick. I have decided to stitch a couple of towels and then try and sell them for some stash money. Found some huck towels that were being clearanced at Walmart but there was only 2 left so I snatched them up for $2.00 each.

Ashley was up most of the night crying with a temperature of 102.7. I finally got her back into bed around 4 only to have Jordan wake both of us up at 6 because he wanted to watch cartoon and felt that we should watch them too.

Off to get Ashley ready to go to the doctor's to make sure that she doesn't have an ear infection.

Pictures Finally

Finally here are pictures of my finished Java towel and the progress that I have made so far on Flip Flops Rock. I have been looking at some of the other stitching blogs and I have decided that sometime in the future I may stitch a sampler. The work that some of you girls have done and the samplers that you have stitched are gorgeous. Off to look at some samplers and get an idea of which one(s) I would like to stitch.

Sunny Day Saturday

Due to my digital camera acting up I haven't been able to add pictures of my finished Java towel or of my progress on Flip Flops Rock so imagine one flip flop stitched and the other one about to be started. Can't wait unitl Tuesday when I can take a trip to Colonial Needleworks. Off to stitch some more and see if I can get this darn camera to work right.

Flip Flops Rock!

Finished up my Java towel today and have all the fabric and floss ready to start on Flip Flops Rock freebie that I have. That one looks like it is going to be colorful just like Java was. Will take a pic in the morning. Off to bed to dream in floss colors!

Need a caffeine boost???

Then this picture of my Java towel WIP should work. Since it has been so nice out during the day I have been sitting out with the kids or sitting out reading on the porch and working on this little by little at night. The nice thing about this project is NO BACKSTITCHING! Can't wait to finish this one and then stitch some of the other projects that were included with this one. Off to stitch on it some more before bedtime!

Long Time No Blog

Sorry that I haven't been around too much but with the weather getting better and the kids getting older I have been spending more time outside. Here is what I have been working on lately. It is a java huck towel. Will posted an updated picture of what I have done on it today later.

Another Kitty Done!

Heather asked where the kitty came from so here are the details...both of these kitties came from the Britter Cup designs Britty Kitties II. I still need to buy the other series to complete my kitty wall. HEHE
Not much going on here today except that it got in the 80s. Seems really hot to DH. He has been complaining all day. Men can't live with them and can't live without them LOL LOL. Been working on Coffeehouse Favorites Irish Creak coffee pattern on a huck towel. Off to eat some of the new Papa Gino's Rustic Pizza that we ordered. Will let you know how it was later.

Rainy Dreary Tuesday

Have a crockpot of chili going for dinner tonight. Looks like it will be a good night for it too since it is so rainy and dreary out. While helping the kids battle their colds and mine and DH's colds I was able to get some stitching in.

Changing a Pattern a Bit

Since I ordered some patterns on Friday and they were shipped yesterday then they should get here today or tomorrow so as I was sitting stitching tropical fantasy I began to think "I can't wait to start stitching some more huck towels (bought some new patterns for that)" so rather than start something else and let TF go unfinished I figured I would stitch each fish separately and then hang them in the bathroom.

Dreary & Rainy Today

Well today was a dreary and rainy day so I sat and watched Guess Who which I had ordered from Netflix and I stitched a little bit. Was not really in the moody because the kids were being too loud so I will probably work on it some more once the kids are in bed and I can sit and catch up on Deseprate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy tonight.

Jenn had asked about seeing a picture of Tropical Fantsy that I am working on so here you go girls...

Off to eat the hot dog specials that DH made for dinner tonight.
